TVS - TeamViewer Video Session File

What is a TVS file

TVS files are associated with a program called TeamViewer. TeamViewer allows users to not only share their computer desktop but also take control over the interface of another user. For this, the program has to be installed on both machines and both users need to verify and accept the connection using individual codes. In addition, it can also be used for online team meetings. Team Viewer is also available for smartphones running on iOS, Android, and Windows phones. The TVS format is used for recorded videos of these remote sessions. These videos are often used to create demonstrations or tutorials. Additionally, TVS files can be used to create an extensive history of TeamViewer sessions held.

TVS files are, as of 2018, not supported by video player software. The only way to view these videos is by using TeamViewer directly. More specifically, you need the full version of TeamViewer, the host version won’t suffice. All users of TeamViewer can record their sessions if they choose to do so. For this, they have to go to Extras > Options > Advanced and choose the “Automatically start Session Recorder when beginning remote control session”. This will record all sessions until the option off again.

Here's a small, but not exhaustive list of programs that can open TVS documents:
