OWL - OWL Source Code File

What is a OWL file

OWL files are used to store code written in the programming language of the same name (OWL – Obfuscated Weird Language). This language was based on both Forth and False, two interpreted, stack-based programming languages. The code inside the OWL file consists only of integer numbers and characters from A to Z since these are the only characters supported by the OWL language.

The code of an OWL file is written in C with the help of GNU extensions. These files can exclusively be run using the OWL interpreter. This program can be installed on all systems that also have the GNU Compiler Collection (gcc) installed.

Here's a small, but not exhaustive list of programs that can open OWL documents:

  • Owl (Windows, Mac & Linux)
Extension OWL
