AFPUB - Affinity Publisher Document File

What is a AFPUB file

AFPUB files are created by Affinity Publisher, a desktop publishing program that is used to produce all kinds of media for both print and digital publishing, such as flyers, magazines, brochures, and more. AFPUB is a proprietary file format and thus exclusive to the specific software it was developed for. Support from other programs is very limited.

Affinity Publisher is the successor of software company Serif’s PagePlus program that served the same purpose. The developers of Serif have not yet shared any specifications about any of their proprietary formats, including AFPUB, AFDESIGN, and AFAFPHOTO. This means that other, third-party programs cannot work with them.

Here's a small, but not exhaustive list of programs that can open AFPUB documents:

  • Affinity Publisher (Windows & Mac)
Extension AFPUB
MIME type application/octet-stream
