RTA - TrueRTA Project File

What is a RTA file

RTA is the file format extension used by project files created with TrueRTA. The program is used for testing audio systems. Sounds used for the testing or all kinds of settings can be stored in such a RTA file. This allows users of TrueRTA to test different systems with the exact same settings.

Other files with the RTA extension can be associated with the discontinued IBM Voice Type Language Vocabulary Format and RobotHelp RTA Data files.

Here's a small, but not exhaustive list of programs that can open RTA documents:

  • True Audio TrueRTA
  • Adobe RoboHelp 11
